Music evolves. So should teaching methods.
Five Reasons to Choose Yamaha Music School
5. We’re a school, not a store
Dealing instruments is not our primary business. We focus entirely on offering quality music programs to you and your family.
4. Award-winning teaching faculty
Starting in Fall 2009, all of our instructors must attend annual training seminars to ensure that their qualifications are up-to-date. We encourage all members of our faculty to observe each other’s classes and learn from various teaching styles. You’ll benefit from a combination of experience and the latest teaching tools and techniques.
3. Affordable programs
With group lessons starting at just $14/hour*, and private lessons at $20/half-hour**, we remain one of the most competitively priced music education providers in the city. Tuition payments are made by post-dated cheque, so that you can focus on your monthly progress, not your monthly payments.
2. A complete musical experience
Our lessons are structured to expose each student to every aspect of music, from performance to theory & composition. Where else can you participate in ensemble jam sessions, have access to the latest grand & digital pianos, and perform in local, national, and even international concerts?

Teaching Faculty
We are proud to have a dynamic and diverse teaching faculty! Our instructors come from varied backgrounds (including teaching/pedagogy, performance, improv/composition), and all share one goal: to provide each student with a fun and comprehensive musical experience.
Each group instructor must pass a comprehensive evaluation where he/she must demonstrate skill in not only performance of an instrument, but singing, accompaniment, sight-reading, improvisation and transposition, as well as having the required aural abilities and knowledge of harmony and music theory.
Instructors of the Yamaha Music Education System undergo annual training, upgrading, and observation by the members of our local and national administrative teams to ensure the highest calibre of musical instruction.
